'Master in the House' Season 2 to Conclude This April
SBS delivered sad news to the public as the production team of the famous entertainment program "Master in the House" announced that the show will wrap up season 2 after the April 23 broadcast. Since the first episode was released on January 1, the second season has been airing for four months already.
Following the conclusion of Season 1 in September 2022, the production made a hiatus and spent three months reorganizing the show then made its comeback with a new season. In Season 2, GOT7's Bambam and Lee Dae Ho joined the cast to fill the vacancy left by its former host Lee Seung Gi.
Part of the reorganizing was changing the show's airing time from 6:20 p.m. to 5 p.m. (KST). However, "Master in the House" failed to maintain high ratings and kept having sluggish viewership ratings. Their 1 percent record is said to be the lowest performance among entertainment programs of the same broadcasting time.

SBS Has No Plans Yet to Produce 'Master in the House' Season 3
In addition to the report, "Master in the House" Season 2's highest rating record was 2.6 percent in the episode where football coach Park Hang Seo made a special guest appearance. In the upcoming episodes, the program once dropped to the lowest point of 1.1 percent.
Due to the bad records that the show has been receiving for the past months, SBS already decided to end the program after four months of broadcast. According to the broadcasting company, "We haven't decided on the production of Season 3 or follow-up programs." They continued, "We don't have any plan for Season 3 yet at the moment, so it is safe to say that the show is ending with Season 2."
Possible Causes of 'Master in the House's' Immediate Conclusion
"Master in the House" once surpassed double-digit ratings and became a representative entertainment program of SBS. However, it has been forgotten for a long time. Some are speculating that Lee Seung Gi's withdrawal from the program was the reason why "Master in the House" is no longer as popular as before. Another problem that others observed was the lack of chemistry between the old and new cast members.
