Based on a news cited by Nate on April 13, the American movie "The Idol," where BLACKPINK Jennie's starred, is one of the works invited to the out-of-competition category at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.

"The Idol" is set in the background of the music industry in Los Angeles, and focuses on Jocelyn's journey, as an aspiring idol.

Another celebrity to walk the Cannes Red Carpet is "Reborn Rich" actor Song Joong Ki as his upcoming film "Hwaran" also got an invite to be screened at the event.
