From her villain role in "The Penthouse" trilogy, Kim So Yeon goes through an amazing transformation as the mountain goddess of the West, Ryu Hong Joo, one of the four main gods who governed the Korean Peninsula together with Lee Yeon, played by Lee Dong Wook.

The 16-episode K-drama was among the most-watched series in 2020.
At the time, viewers were drawn to Kim Bum and Lee Dong Wook's on-screen chemistry as they played as half-brothers.
After the huge success of the fantasy series, the broadcast network officially confirmed the sequel, "Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938," with new cast members.
While Kim Bum and Lee Dong Wook will reprise their roles as Lee Yeon and Lee Rang, tvN introduces two new cast members: Kim So Yeon and Ryu Kyung Soo of Netflix's "Hellbound."
Unfortunately, Jo Bo Ah, who played as television program PD Nam Ji Ah, will not be returning for "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" Season 2 but will reportedly make a cameo.
"Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938" is slated to premiere on May 6 with a total of 16 episodes.
