Ahead of its release, Namgoong Min's "Lovers" gets involved in a controversy that caused the production to terminate the contract of a casting manager participating in the series.

MBC Terminates Contract of Casting Manager Due to Past Issue
On May 4, broadcasting company MBC, which handles the forthcoming series "Lovers," starring Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, expressed its position regarding the incident involving one of the drama's minor actors.
"We are taking viewers' concerns related to the management company of auxiliary cast members of the series 'Lovers' seriously."
It was also stated that the confirmed external professional companies related to the minor actors are also participating in the drama's production investigation.
In addition, to the video's content, A's daughter, graduate student B, suffered sexual violence from 12 people, including the agency's class president and casting manager, when she worked as a minor actor in 2004 and filed a complaint with the police.
However, during the investigation, she suffered while being threatened by the perpetrators. Her younger sister C, who introduced B to a minor actor job, also died on his own after suffering from guilt.
Meanwhile, "Lovers" is expected to release in the second half of 2023.
Other stars who will work with Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin are Lee Da In and Lee Hak Joo.
