Seolhyun reached a new milestone in her career as she won the best lead actress title in a prestigious film award abroad.
LA WEBFEST 2023 Hails Kim Seolhyun Best Lead Actress for Her Performance in 'Summer Strike'
On May 5, K-Drama star Seolhyun gained a proud moment in her acting journey by bringing home the Best Lead Actress award at the LA WEBFEST 2023 for her spectacular performance in "Summer Strike."
LA WEBFEST (Los Angeles Web Service Festival) is one of the first web series events created in 2010. It is the first and largest web series festival based in Long Angeles, California. For this year's celebration, the event ceremony was held last May 4 and 5.
The Korean star who was honored to receive the big recognition also shared a short message, "I was genuinely happy while living as Yeo Reum. However, I am even happier and more grateful to receive this award. I believe I was able to receive this award because of the actors, staff, and viewers' love and support."
During the drama's press conference in November 2022, Director Lee Yoon Jung revealed that Seolhyun did not wear heavy makeup when filming the series and only applied BB cream on her face. She also only wore 2-3 kinds of clothes all the time.
