Based on the news cited by Star News on May 18, veteran actors Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang are being courted to headline the thriller series "Trigger." In response to the report, Kim Nam Gil's side stated that the actor is positively considering the project.

"Trigger" follows the story of two men with different definitions of guns and odds. It is a work that features the process of solving the problem between a man who should use a gun for the weak and a man who should never hold a gun.

Kim Nam Gil is being offered to star as Lee Do, an incumbent police officer. Kim Young Kwang, on the other hand, was proposed to portray the role of Moon Baek with a four-dimensional charm; he becomes a key figure in the weapons broker world after living through ups and downs.

The forthcoming series "Trigger" is Netflix's new original work that has a budget of 30 billion krw, once the cast is finalized, the project will be filmed from fall of this year to spring of 2024.

It has been said that the tentative release of the drama is in the first half of 2025. Director Kwon Oh Seung will join forces with Bidan Gil in producing the project.

Kim Young Kwang recently headlined the Netflix mystery series "Somebody." He also did a melodrama in the first half of 2023 through Disney+'s "Call It Love" alongside model-actress Lee Sung Kyung.

Kim Nam Gil, on the other hand, just finished his action-horror drama "Island," where he worked with Lee Da Hee and Cha Eun Woo. Apart from it, the actor is also preparing for another Netflix series "Song of the Bandits" in which he is expected to collaborate with SNSD's Seohyun, Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Hyun Wook, and Lee Ho Jung.
