To recall, season 2 featured the special participation of Yang Se Jong, who returned as Do In Bum, one of the doctors and antagonists at Doldam Hospital.
Interestingly, with the confirmation of the cast lineup, various outlets previously mentioned that Yoo Yeon Seok will return as Dr. Kang. However, at the time, drama executives were tight lipped about the possible comeback.
Lo and behold, "Dr. Romantic 3" episode 12 featured a familiar face returning to Doldam.
Yoo Yeon Seok on His Reunion With 'Dr. Romantic' Cast
Yoo Yeon Seok shared his thoughts about being reunited with the original and new "Dr. Romantic 3" cast. As mentioned by a media outlet, the 39-year-old actor admitted that he was "nervous" to set foot at the filming location of Doldam.
"I was nervous and worried at the same time because it was the scene I had returned to after a long time," he said.
Despite this, he is "very happy to be able to spend season 3 with Kim Sa Bu," played by Han Suk Kyu, as well as the new and returning cast of the show.
When asked about not participating in the show's second season, Yoo Yeon Seok confessed that "there was a constant regret that we couldn't be together for season 2."
