"Yumi's Cells," headlined by Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun, is among the 2021 series that made a mark on viewers. Apart from its unique concept, the webtoon-based K-drama also featured an interesting cast lineup.
In the rom-com series, Kim Go Eun plays as Yumi, an ordinary office girl. However, underneath lies her extraordinary ability that involves her cells.
The first season introduced Ahn Bo Hyun as Goo Woong, Yumi's boyfriend. Unfortunately, their relationship fell through because of an unexpected situation.
In season 2, this is where she meets her new boyfriend Yoo Bobby, portrayed by GOT7's Jinyoung.
After two seasons, "Yumi's Cells" return is still up in the air, but viewers are hoping to get to see Yumi with her endgame.
As viewers wait for the possibility of having the show's third installment, here's where the "Yumi Cells" cast members are now.
Kim Go Eun
In "Yumi's Cells," viewers saw how bubbly her character is, but Kim Go Eun depicts a completely opposite character after starring in "Little Women."
Interestingly, through her character in "Yumi's Cells," Kim Go Eun took home the Best Actress award at the first Blue Dragon Series Awards in 2022. She then earned 4th place as Actress of the Year in the Kinolights Awards for her role in "Little Women."
Following her back-to-back K-dramas, Kim Go Eun returned to the big screen with a historical movie.

Ahn Bo Hyun
Like Kim Go Eun, Ahn Bo Hyun is booked and busy after joining the cast of "Yumi's Cells." He had a cameo appearance in Ji Sung's K-drama "Adamas."

After the romance series, viewers will get to see Ahn Bo Hyun in a new K-drama with Park Ji Hyun for "Gold Spoon."
Park Jin Young
