While most viewers were thrilled to see updates regarding the much awaited K-drama "The Uncanny Counter" season 2, others seemed uninterested in the comeback of Jo Byeong Gyu.
tvN recently released behind-the-scenes during the show's script reading, featuring the returning and new cast members of the K-drama.
Interestingly, the original cast of "The Uncanny Counter" was complete, consisting of Yoo Joon Sang as Ga Mo Tak, Kim Se Jeong reprising her role as Do Ha Na, Yeom Hye Ran and Ahn Suk Hwan as Chu Mae Ok and Choi Jang Mool, and lastly, Jo Byeong Gyu as So Moon.
Adding to the list of new cast members is Kang Ki Young from "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" as Pil Kwang, "All of Us Are Dead" villain Yoo In Soo who takes on the role of Jeok Bong.
Meanwhile, "The Glory" actress Kim Hi Eo Ra and versatile star Jin Seon Kyu will be portraying the roles of Gelly and Joo Seok.
As tvN gears up for the highly anticipated return of the "counters," viewers seem disappointed with the return of Jo Byeong Gyu.
Jo Byeong Gyu's Comeback in 'The Uncanny Counter' Season 2 Sparks Dissapointment
Accordign to a media outlet, K-nets took to social media to express their honest thoughts about the cast lineup of "The Uncanny Counter" season 2.
Although others were thrilled to see the reunion between the cast and reprising their roles in the much awaited sequel, some appeared to be disheartened to see Jo Byeong Gyu.
As mentioned by the news portal, netizens lauded the amazing casting "except for one person," who seemed to be the 27-year-old actor.

Others expressed the same thought and mentioned how sorry they feel for the "amazing actors and actresses who have to work with him as the lead actor."
Meanwhile, the majority of them wanted to "replace" Jo Byeong Gyu as So Moon.
What Caused Jo Byeong Gyu's Hiatus?
Back in 2021, Jo Byeong Gyu got involved in a scandalous controversy due to bullying allegations.
It was after his former classmates from New Zealand exposed the actor and accused the actor of verbally abusing him and throwing filthy jokes.
A different person mentioned that he was bullied by Jo Byeong Gyu while they were still in elementary and middle school.
However, the actor responded to the accusation and took to social media to air his side.
He called the allegations as "malicious anonymous posts" and said that he "can't tolerate" them, which is why he is giving his two cents on the story.
"I'm not someone who has never hurt anyone, and I didn't get along with everyone like a saint while growing up," the post reads, as obtained by a media outlet, adding, " At times, people took my money away just because I was small, and there have been times when I was assaulted. Does that make me a victim now?
Months later, his agency gave updates, noting that the accusers had admitted to lying and apologized for their actions.
