Based on the novel "Lies Hidden in My Backyard," the mystery thriller drama depicts the story of two women who are intertwined with each other's secrets.
Kim Tae Hee plays Moon Joo Ran, a wealthy housewife who seemed to be living a perfect life until she discovered her husband's secret.
She is married to renowned doctor Park Jae Ho, played by Kim Sung Oh.
Meanwhile, Lim Ji Yeon's character, Choo Sang Eun, is struggling to escape her hellish life with her husband, Kim Yoon Beom, played by Choi Jae Rim.
However, as the story progressed, it seemed like Sang Eun was involved in his husband's death.
'Lies Hidden in My Garden, Episode 5 Recap
As the thriller K-drama reached its second half, more secrets were unveiled.
"Lies Hidden in My Garden" episode 5 hints at the possible reasons behind the deaths of Kim Yoon Beom and Lee Soo Min.
The episode began with a glimpse of Choo Sang Eun's dream, in which she is being hunted by her dead husband.
The next scene featured Sang Eun and Moon Joo Ran visiting a sketchy apartment in hopes of finding any leads on Lee Soo Min's whereabouts.
According to the man who handles Soo Min, they tried to blackmail Dr. Park Jae Ho through Soo Min, but it didn't push through.
She confronted her husband about it and learned that it was not a latex glove but a dead person.
Moon Joo Ran was stunned to know that Jae Ho killed an innocent girl; however, her son, Park Seung Jae, confessed that he also smelled the stench inside their house.
Moreso, he admitted that he was the one who killed Lee Soo Min.
