According to a media outlet, he was selected to play the lead role in "Good Boy."
The duo will play childhood friends in the romance drama "You Have Done Well."
It will be his return to the small screen after the hit K-drama "Record of Youth."
Set to be released in 2025, IU and Park Bo Gum will be joined by award-winning actress Moon So Ri and "The World of the Married" star Park Hae Joon, who will be playing their older versions.
Interestingly, global fans could watch the upcoming K-drama since the 12-part episode series will air on Netflix.
Meanwhile, apart from Park Bo Gum's K-drama with UI, he will also make his musical debut.
According to a report, the actor will have his first ever musical and will be joining the cast of "Let Me Fly."
He will be portraying the role of young Nam Won, who struggles to recall his past.
