Doh Kyungoo talked about his experience filming his upcoming movie "The Moon" as he takes on a challenging role.
For his big-screen return, the singer-actor transforms into an astronaut, set to take his first step on the moon. During his recent interview with SBS Power FM's "Choi Hwajung's Power Time," the South Korean heartthrob spoke about the challenges of portraying the character.
Doh Kyungsoo Says He Refused to Drink Water on Set Because of One Thing
Hinting at the premise of the movie, Doh Kyungsoo, shared that "The Moon" depicts the journey of an astronaut struggling to survive while he's thousands of miles away from the Earth.
In a separate report, the renowned director, who is also the genius behind hit movies "200 Pounds Beauty" and "Along With the Gods," he revealed what promoted him to cast the EXO member.
He said that he has been watching his projects and is among the celebrities whom he adores. Describing Doh Kyungsoo as a "great actor," selfless," and a "real man," the director was also captivated by the singer-actor's achievements in life.
"I've listened to his life story, from the environment he grew up in, to how he got to be where he is today. I know more about him than most people. I would say that there is a great, great actor in him," he said.
Interestingly, Kim Yong Hwa also mentioned how similar Hwang Sun Woo is to Doh Kyungsoo.
"He also had his own struggles in his life. Someone who is very similar to Hwang Sun Woo in those ways. And yet, he does not show those painful memories to others," he said, adding that it is one of the actor's charms.
"The Moon" cast also includes veteran stars Kim Hee Ae, and Sol Kyung Gu as lead stars and is set to hit the big screen on August 2.
