Park Gyu Young briefly talked about her upcoming K-drama "Squid Game" season 2, and gave updates regarding the much-awaited sequel.
The South Korean star has been gaining attention worldwide following the release of her Netflix series "Celebrity." During her appearance in JTBC's Newsroom," the 30-year-old actress mentioned her experience after "Celebrity" was aired and her preparation for "Squid Game" season 2.
Park Gyu Young 'Pressured' While Filming 'Celebrity'
Although she had been in the industry for several years, gracing various notable K-dramas like "Sweet Home," "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," and more, "Celebrity" is one of her first solo lead roles since she made her acting debut.
To recall, she headlined the romantic-comedy series "Dali and the Cocky Prince" with Kim Min Jae.
In addition, she also gave hints on what to expect, highlighting the focus of the production team.
"I think the production team is working passionately with a great sense of responsibility," she said, adding that she is matching their efforts with an amazing performance on her part.
"I'm also trying to work hard to not fall behind and present a good performance that can reflect our passion and responsibility," she furthered.
The Squid Game" season 2 release date is yet to be confirmed. However, they are targeting that the sequel will be released in 2024.
On the other hand, Park Gyu Young will also star in "Sweet Home" seasons 2 and 3, reprising her role as one of the survivors, Yoon Ji Su.
