Lim Ji Yeon Receives Criticisms For Supporting Kim Hieora

Since the beginning of 2023, Lim Ji Yeon has been stealing the spotlight from left to right with her unstoppable performances in her blockbuster dramas.

Unfortunately, she's stirring buzz online for a different reason this summer. The award-winning star is currently receiving criticisms for showing support to Kim Hieora.

Earlier this September, Kim Hieora was exposed to be a school violence perpetrator as she was a member of a gang called Big Sangji at Sangji Girls' Middle school.

Dispatch revealed all evidence of Kim Hieora's involvement, to which the actress quickly denied. According to her, she was only a "bystander" or a member of the group.

Kim Hieora apologized to everyone who was hurt and disappointed with the news. While the actress received sympathy from the others, many still have doubts about the actress.

Through her Instagram, she wrote, "I strive to approach everything with honesty. I promise to avoid lies, knowing that people trust me."

Lim Ji Yeon, who became friends with the actress, showed her support by liking Kim Hieora's Instagram post which received mixed reactions from the public.

Many were disappointed with Lim Ji Yeon who showed nothing but excellence this year. One fan commented, "They really embodied their roles in "The Glory" as school violence perpetrators."

Some come to the actress' defense, saying that it's an honest mistake, and that Lim Ji Yeon only showed support because they are friends in real life regardless of what happened.

While this divided the viewers' perception of Lim Ji Yeon, it's no doubt that she still dominates prime time with her unstoppable charisma through "The Killing Vote."

What Happens To Kim Hieora Now?

Due to the huge scandal, Kim Hieora is harshly criticized by spectators and former fans.

Because of this, her participation in the forthcoming musical "Frida" is put on-hold. She was also pulled out of the production of "SNL Korea Season 4" episode 9, which airs this September.

Kim Hieora also turned down the offer to appear in the feminist drama "Jeong Nyeon" to avoid giving the production a bad name.

Meanwhile, the actress' agency GRAM Entertainment stated that they will not hesitate in taking legal actions against malicious statements that defame Kim Hieora.
