Lee Je Hoon's agency responds to reports regarding the actor's current condition following the shocking emergency surgery he had recently.
Amid his busy schedule, the award-winning actor had to halt his upcoming activities, including hosting the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2023 and the Buil Film Awards.
After weeks of recovery, local media outlet Osen reported that the "Taxi Driver" star's surgery went well and he was discharged from the hospital last week.

In an exclusive report, the news portal shared that Lee Je Hoon went thru an emergency surgery for ischemic colitis or an "injury of the large intestine that results from an interruption of blood flow."
Now that the award-winning star is ready for his activities, he is set to headline the upcoming mystery drama series "Chief Inspector 1963," which is based on the 1971 show "Chief Inspector."
Taking on the legendary chief inspector Park Young Han, Lee Je Hoon stars together with Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, Yoon Hyun Soo, and Seo Eun Soo as lead stars.
The upcoming K-drama, which is expected to air sometime in 2024, is directed by Kim Sung Hoon of "Confidential Assignment 1" and "Rampant."
Other than this, viewers are also looking forward to Lee Je Hoon's return as the beloved anti-hero in "Taxi Driver" season 3 after SBS confirmed that the show will return for its third installment.
However, the network and drama officials are yet to confirm if the returning and new cast members will join the series.
