After concluding her K-drama "Eve," Seo Ye Ji has been under the radar. However, the actress once again garnered attention after the court released updates regarding the claims between her agency and a company.
Gold Medalist to Return 225 Million Won Following Seo Ye Ji's Controversy
In a report, the 25th Civil Affairs Division of the Seoul Central District Court released their decision regarding the lawsuit filed against the actress and her agency, Gold Medalist.
As mentioned by the news portal, the court granted that the talent label must return the 225 million won to the company, Yuhan Care, where the actress served as one of their ambassadors. This is half of the actress' total talent fee, amounting to 450 million won.
2021 was a challenging year for the actress. At the height of her popularity, an issue regarding bullying resurfaced.
In addition, it was also revealed that she gaslighted her then boyfriend Kim Jung Hyun and prevented him from doing a skinship with "Time" co-star Girls' Generation's Seohyun.
At the time, she asked him to edit his parts in the series and wanted him not to do skinship and romance.
As an effect, Kim Jung Hyun was criticized for looking distant and uninterested towards his co-star.
What's Next for Seo Ye Ji?
A year after the incident, Seo Ye Ji returned to the small screen with her K-drama comeback, "Eve." Playing the revenge-driven Lee Ra El, she becomes the mistress of CEO Kang Yoon Gyeom, played by Park Byung Eun.
Viewers also loved the intense riff between Seo Ye Ji's character and Yoo Sun, who played the CEO's wife, Han So Ra.
After the series wraps up in 2022, there's no offer or up-and-coming project lined up for the actress.
