Song Kang to Miss 2023 SBS Drama Awards
With his consecutive drama and endorsement appearances, Song Kang has been one of the busiest Korean stars this 2023. He's dominating the screen with his ongoing series "My Demon," which continues to garner global popularity.
And since year-end award shows are just around the corner, many fans are already looking forward to seeing a list of stars, including Song Kang walk on the red carpet and receive their trophies at the various ceremonies.
However, even before the events take place, on December 24, it was reported that Song Kang will not be able to attend the 2023 SBS Drama Awards, which is set to happen at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul this December 29.
Reports Claim Song Kang's Absence At 2023 SBS Drama Awards Is Due to Military Enlistment
According to the source, the reason for the actor's absence is because of his busy schedule. In addition, there's also speculation that Song Kang might not be able to attend the award ceremony due to his enlistment schedule.
But that was just a rumor as Song Kang's military enlistment is said to be in the first half of 2024.
Song Kang's agency has not responded yet to the heartthrob's absence in the upcoming award show.

The breakout star is nominated for the Best Couple Award.
On December 18, SBS revealed its nominees for the mentioned category, which includes Ryeo Un and Shin Ye Eun, who charmed the audience with their heart-fluttering romance in "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse," Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop in "Dr. Romantic 3," who exhibited a passionate love in the medical series, and Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang, who are currently enchanting the viewers with their chemistry through "My Demon."
"My Demon" is a fantasy-romance series that features the contract marriage between the icy chaebol heiress Do Do Hee and the real demon Jung Gu Won, who loses his powers for a moment.
Song Kang plays as Jung Gu Won, a demon who's entangled in a contractual marriage in order to attain the personal goal of regaining his powers.
The actor increases his immersion with his emotional acting which deepens as the episode progresses.
Song Kang's emotions and the drama itself went back and forth between a cute and lovely romantic-comedy and desperate romance, leaving the audience with 'Song Kang's' effect.
Thanks to his and Kim Yoo Jung's performances, "My Demon," has been amassing popularity on Netflix worldwide and garnered its highest viewership rating of 4.7 in episode 8.
