Roh Jeong Eui's Recent Media Appearance Sparks Anorexia Debate

On January 26, Roh Jeong Eui finally returned to the limelight with the long awaited film "Badland Hunters" along with big stars Ma Dong Seok, Lee Hee Joon and more.

The rising actress showcased her improved acting skills and mature side that she has never displayed before in her previous works like "18 Again" and "Our Beloved Summer."

In the new Netflix film, she transformed into a fearless girl who follows a man's journey in hunting down a mad doctor that holds a teenager captive in a huge cult.

Many fans lauded her work which they claimed to be at par with the veteran actors in the Hallyu industry. However, her performance isn't the only thing that made headlines.

Roh Jeong Eui's health also sparked debate among fans after the 2001-born star appeared much skinnier than before. In an Instagram story, she revealed that she stands 165 cm tall (5 feet and 4 inches) while weighing only 40 kgs.

She also revealed that her body fat percentage is only 5.7 kg which is considered severely underweight. Many viewers speculate that the actress is suffering from anorexia.

To recall, Roh Jeong Eui is previously known for her youthful and plump face. However, as she took on many roles, she went on many diets to achieve her desired doll-like visuals.

Roh Jeong Eui's Fans Jump To Her Defense

According to many supporters, Roh Jeong Eui's weight loss was necessary for her new role in "Badland Hunters."

To her defense, many stars go on extreme diets for their work including big names like Han So Hee, Kim Tae Hee, Song Hye Kyo and more.

"Her film is a dystopian action," a fan reasoned. "It's reasonable that she lost weight to play her part with 100% synchronization rate."

However, many still believe that the drastic weight loss is harmful to her body, especially as she functions on a hectic roster despite being severely underweight.
