Choi Woo Shik & Son Seok Koo's Acting Journey
As both prominent actors are known for their roles in Korean films and series, some might not know that they are fluent in English. Son Seok Koo was born in Daejeon, South Korea, but migrated abroad during his middle school.
He studied in the U.S. and Canada, where he majored in visual arts and film at the School of Art Institute of Chicago as an aspiring documentary director.
Almost similar to Choi Woo Shik's career path, he was born in Seoul, but flew to Vancouver, Canada, at the age of 10 with his family.
The "Our Beloved Summer" star lived the next ten years as Edward Choi. He attended Simon Fraser University in 2010, and when he turned 20, he asked permission from his parents to return to South Korea to pursue acting.
Years later, the two made it into the Korean Entertainment industry and are now two of the buzzworthy South Korean actors today.
