1. Sajo Hyun reunites with Yeon Wol
In episode 4, Sajo Hyun (Park Ji Hoon) accepted Yeon Wol (Hong Ye Ji) as his concubine after Ak Hee, his alter ego, falls for her charms.
However, he is devastated when he learns that his family murdered hers, creating a painful rift between them due to the extreme guilt he's feeling.
Unbeknownst to him, Yeon Wol is well aware of the past, and is now ready to avenge her family from the kingdom. Sadly, this intervenes with their romance.
Due to their vulnerable sides, the hatred in their hearts melted away as they hold one another in an embrace, raising tension between them.
2. Ak Hee's jealousy
One of the best moments in "Love Song For Illusion" is Ak Hee's evil scenes that stemmed from jealousy which manifested in the seventh episode of the drama.
Ak Hee, due to him being an alter ego, gets trapped inside Sajo Hyun's body. He was only able to reappear when the latter collapsed due to an unknown reason.
Because of this, he realized that in the short amount of time that he was gone, Yeon Wol had finally fallen completely for the king. Ak Hee's longing soon became anger.
To spite Sajo Hyun, he pretends to be him and visits Geum Hwa (Ji Woo), promising to marry her with the purpose of hurting Yeon Wol.
3. Sajo Hyun forgets about Yeon Wol
In the latest episode, Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee were defeated by the shaman who put them on a spell, endangering their body.
Out of desperation, Yeon Wol runs away to find the antidote. After almost facing her own demise, she is able to find the cure.
When she returns to the palace, Sajo Hyun thankfully regains his consciousness a bit. Sadly, he seemed to not remember Yeon Wol at all, shocking viewers all around the world.
