"A Killer Paradox" talks about the uncanny resemblance between Son Seok Koo and child actor Kang Jee Seok, who played the actor's younger version.

Other than the notable performances of lead stars Son Seok Koo and Choi Woo Shik, director Lee Chang Hee answered the puzzling question of the public regarding the actor and the child star's relationship.
Viewers Notice Similarities of Son Seok Koo & the 'A Killer Paradox' Child Star
Amid the huge success of Netflix's "A Killer Paradox," viewers noticed the remarkable resemblance between Son Seok Koo and the actor who played his younger version.
At the time, netizens took to social media and cited the visual similarities between the duo, and some even asked if Jang Nam Gam was related to Son Seok Koo.
Furthermore, I even lauded the director for the amazing casting.
Interestingly, director Lee Chang-hee revealed the reason behind this.
During his interview with the media on February 14, he mentioned that they used AI to enhance the scene.
"The acting was performed by a child actor, and we utilized CG (deepfake AI) technology utilizing Son Suk Goo's childhood photos," he said, as mentioned by an outlet.
In addition, the director also explained that using child actors to portray younger versions of lead stars is common in films and series, but in reality, they don't look the same, and "insisting otherwise would be dishonest."
However, he wanted to utilize the use of technology in "A Killer Paradox"; hence, adding a deep fake technology to Son Seok Koo's character.
"I'm not a fan of this cinematic acceptance," he said, adding that AI "seems to be an approach that hasn't been widely explored domestically."
With this, the director shared that they have "invested significantly in this endeavor to enhance realism" and have decided to reinforce this technique in past photos of the character Kyung Ah and the child actor Novin."
'A Killer Paradox' Tops Various Countries on Netflix
In "A Killer Paradox," Son Seok Koo took on the role of detective Jang Nan Gam.
His mission is to chase Lee Tang (Choi Woo Sik), an ordinary college student and part-timer at a convenience store who got caught up in a murder case and eventually reinvented himself as a dark hero.
The Netflix series featured child actor Kang Jee Seok in episode 7 as the scene showcased the detective's background story.
Officially premiering on February 9, the action-crime K-drama immediately entered the Netflix chart.
According to Flix Patrol, "A Killer Paradox" debuted at the 2nd official weekly Global Top 10, featuring the most watched shows and films on the video streaming platform.
