The show has been in the works since early 2023, and fans couldn't wait for its premiere. It is helmed by "The Uncanny Counter" producing director Yoo Seon Dong, which only doubled the excitement.
"Trigger" is a comedy crime drama that is set against the backdrop of South Korea's first-ever Investigative Journalism Bureau of a broadcasting company.
It depicts how they fight for their careers after broadcasting a controversial story by solving a 20-year-old case involving a famous actor who disappeared like a bubble.
In the series, Kim Hye Soo transforms into an investigative journalist who has a strong sense of justice. She stops at nothing to achieve her goals, and she leads her team with great pride.
The teaser photo captures the actress' femme fatale energy as she gazes at a crime scene while gathering evidence through her respective camcorder.
Kim Hye Soo has appeared in various crime and legal works in the past but the production unit guarantees a more dimensional performance through the upcoming show.
Moreover, the production staff also hints at the actress' oozing chemistry with Jung Sung Il of "The Glory" who completes the main ensemble as a notorious criminal.
'Trigger' Premiere Date & Where To Stream It
While there's no exact date of its premiere yet, Kim Hye Soo's "Trigger" is confirmed to be released in the second half of 2024.
The drama is currently underway, and is being finalized for post-production. Meanwhile, "Trigger" will air on the streaming platform Disney+ which is available worldwide.
