'Queen of Divorce' Episode 9: Kim Sa Ra Says No

After hearing No Yul Seong's (Oh Min Seok) proposal, Kim Sa Ra (Lee Ji Ah) is caught off guard due to its hilarity.

She rejects it immediately but later breaks down as she remembers her beloved son. The next day, Kim Sa Ra receives flowers from her ex-husband.

Kim Sa Ra sends them back to him, refusing any romantic gesture from her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) helps her out to prepare for a memorial service.

She is delighted about his efforts in helping out commemorate her mother's death anniversary. Later on, she learns that her mother was an informant to one of her cases.

Dong Ki Joon Offers Comfort

She suspects that her mother's death might not just be a suicide. Dong Ki Joon gives her a phone with her mother's number, telling her to call whenever she misses her.

After Dong Ki Joon leaves, Kim Sa Ra breaks down in pain. At Solutions, Bae So Hee (Kim Jae Eun) reveals that before her mother died, she entered a car alongside No Yul Seong's assistant.

Kim Sa Ra is certain that No Yul Seong is involved in her mother's death. Bae So Hee agrees to become a witness against her ex-husband but sadly, she loses her last ray of hope.

Solutions learns that Bae So Hee is killed by her stalker. Kim Sa Ra breaks down once again, making Dong Ki Joon worry. He rushes to the former's apartment to comfort her.

Sparks Fly Between Kim Sa Ra & Dong Ki Joon

Things become awkward for the two after Dong Ki Joon discovers that the password to Kim Sa Ra's apartment was his date of birth.

While Kim Sa Ra explains, Dong Ki Joon declares that he's holding on to the fleeting hope even if it meant nothing to her.

The two then share a soft kiss, stirring new emotions and excitement. The following day, Kim Sa Ra clarifies that everything happened due to her being emotional.

Dong Ki Joon takes no offense, saying that he still likes her despite being one. Later on, Dong Ki Joon looks for a driver related to their case, and learns that he's working for No Yul Seong.

Things Become Awkward

At the office, Kim Sa Ra receives new flowers but to everyone's surprise, she doesn't return it to the sender which leaves Dong Ki Joon confused.

She reveals that her ex-husband asked her to marry him, and that she plans on returning to No Yul Seong's house. Once again, Dong Ki Joon is left speechless and unhappy.
