Kim Do Hoon will take on a challenging role as he joins the cast of the upcoming K-drama "Acquaintances." Following his projects in the past year, the rising star is set to showcase his versatility along with top stars Han Ji Min and Lee Joon Hyuk.

Kim Do Hoon Stars in Office Rom-Com K-drama With Han Ji Min, Lee Joon Hyuk

In a report, Kim Do Hoon's agency, SEM Company, officially announced the actor's upcoming K-drama.

The 25-year-old star is confirmed to headline the series "Acquaintances" and will take on the role of a chaebol's son, Woo Jung Hoon.

In the drama, the story will depict Kim Do Hoon's character as a preppy boy from a wealthy family. However, despite his social status, Woo Jung Hoon experiences conflicts at home and has mixed feelings about his father.

Meanwhile, Han Ji Min transforms into a self-reliant CEO, Kang Ji Yoon. As she sits on top of the corporate ladder, Ji Yoon pours her heart and energy into her work that she can't handle anything other than her career.

Things change when she meets her new secretary, Yoo Eun Ho, a single father who has a warm and caring personality.

Viewers will get to see their chemistry with Lee Joon Hyuk, who will portray the role of Yoo Eun Ho.

The upcoming office romance K-drama is scheduled to air in 2024 on SBS.

"Acquaintances," also known as "Between Greetings," will be under the direction of Ham Joon Ho of "Wok of Love" and "My Strange Hero," with screenwriter Kim Ji Eun, who was behind the K-drama "Cheongdamdong Scandal" and "Lie After Lie."

OG K-drama heartthrobs like Cha Eun Woo, Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo, Kim Soo Hyun, and more have captivated the hearts of viewers with their notable series.

Interestingly, the entertainment industry welcomes a new breed of lead stars, among which is Kim Do Hoon.

From supporting roles in "My Absolute Boyfriend" and "Dark Hole," the 25-year-old actor grabbed the attention of viewers when he joined the cast of "Moving."

Along with Lee Jung Ha and Go Yoon Jung, they worked alongside senior stars, as the star-studded cast also featured award-winning actors like Jo In Sung, Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, and more.

Viewers were drawn to Kim Do Hoon's character, Lee Kang Hoon, a straight-A student who harbors superhuman strength, which he inherited from his father.

Other than this, he portrayed a villain role in the Makjang series "The Escape of the Seven: War for Survival." Kim Do Hoon surprised the viewers as he took on the vicious villain named K.
