Ryu Seung Ryong Returns With Comedy Series 'Chicken Nugget'

This 2024, Ryu Seung Ryong is set to return to the spotlight with the brand new comical mystery drama "Chicken Nugget" with Ahn Jae Hong.

Ryu Seung Ryong plays Choi Sun Man, a dedicated businessman and a loving father to his daughter Choi Min Ah, played by Kim Yoo Jung, who suddenly becomes a chicken nugget.

"Chicken Nugget" is among the most anticipated works of the year, and it's expected to deliver a stomachache-inducing comedy and heartwarming narrative.

The series also stars Ahn Jae Hong who plays Baek Joong, a clumsy young man who interns at All Machines. Unbeknownst to his boss, he has a huge crush on his daughter.

With the meeting of Ryu Seung Ryong and Ahn Jae Hong, a high scale comedy is expected especially after the success of their recent works "Moving" and "LTNS."

Ryu Seung Ryong Reveals Acting Plans

In a guest appearance in SBS Power FM's "2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show," Ryu Seung Ryong shared the key points in what to expect from his new Netflix series "Chicken Nugget."

According to the actor, his chemistry with Ahn Jae Hong, who's also known as a top-notch actor, is a factor that shouldn't be missed in the show.

He added, "The brand new series is a blend of fantasy, romance, sci-fi, comedy and drama. It's a jam-packed production that fans will surely enjoy."

Meanwhile, Ryu Seung Ryong has become associated with comedy works that involve chickens. The actor said, "It's quite absurd but I've loved everything so far."

On the other hand, he expressed that "Chicken Nugget" will be the "peak" of his comedy career. He raised curiosity, saying that he might not be able to continue doing the genre as he gets older.

"I have a feeling that I won't be able to do comedy until my 60th birthday," Ryu Seung Ryong confessed. "I gave my all to the new series. It's the sickest comedy I made yet."
