Han Hyo Joo's Work With Japanese Actor Shun Oguri Worries Fans

On March 13, fans were surprised to hear the news that Han Hyo Joo is confirmed to star in the Japanese series "Romantic Anonymous" with actor Shun Oguri.

In addition, the actress and the team are already in the process of filming starting this month.

However, amid the huge attention on Han Hyo Joo's new work, the profile of her co-star and new on-screen partner is causing fans to worry. They expressed their concerns that Shun Oguri's past issues might affect the actress' good reputation.

Shun Oguri's Past Controversies Resurface

Shun Oguri, known for his roles in "Gokusen," "Nobunaga Concerto" TV drama, "Gintama" live action, and more, was embroiled in multiple controversies. This includes his scandalous romance with an aspiring model at a membership club right before his marriage.

He was also involved with several female entertainers. In 2023, Japanese YouTuber Higashitani Yoshikazu caused a buzz when he released a snap of a man believed to be Shun Oguri singing naked in a bar.

Due to this, fans are worried even though interest in the drama is receiving a lot of anticipation.

Meanwhile, the two will couple up in the adaptation to the 2010 French film "Romantic Anonymous" directed by Jean-Pierre Ameris, which tells the love story between a chocolate manufacturer owner and a chocolatier.

It is expected to air on Netflix.

Han Hyo Joo Booked For New Drama With Ju Ji Hoon

Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo is also working on her new Korean series "Blood Free," previously known as "Dominant Species."

It is a suspense thriller series that follows the journey of Yoon Ja Yoo, the CEO of the genetic engineering enterprise that opens a new era of artificially cultured meat in 2025, and Woo Chae Woon, a retired officer-turned-guard who deliberately approaches her, as they get involved in a mysterious death and incident.

She will work with veteran actor Ju Ji Hoon in this project.

"Blood Free" is scheduled to premiere this April 10 on Disney Plus.
