Ryu Seung Ryong Shares Grateful Heart To 'Chicken Nugget' Viewers

Earlier this March, Ryu Seung Ryong returned to the spotlight with the comedy mystery drama "Chicken Nugget."

The actor transformed into Choi Sun Man, a dedicated businessman whose daughter Choi Min Ah, played by Kim Yoo Jung, suddenly becomes a chicken nugget.

It was among the most anticipated works of the year, and it didn't fail to deliver a comical yet heartwarming narrative. In an interview with Netflix, he expressed his gratitude to the viewers.

"I'm glad that many loved the series," Ryu Seung Ryong shared. According to the actor, he exerted a lot of efforts in perfecting his role due to the burden he was feeling during filming.

The actor bared his heart and revealed that he worked seriously in "Chicken Nugget" as it marks his return to the limelight after the huge success of "Extreme Job" and "Moving."

However, the atmosphere in the set was still fun. On the other hand, the actor revealed that his two sons also enjoyed watching the Netflix series without prejudice to its sick comedy genre.

"I chose to appear in "Chicken Nugget" due to its appealing narrative," Ryu Seung Ryong shared. "I've never done anything like it so it drew me in instantly."

Ryu Seung Ryong has cemented his name in the acting scene. However, he still feels that acting is difficult.

As an actor, he plans to strive more to be better, and to continue challenging himself with other exciting works. With this, he shared his love-hate relationship with the comedy genre.

"Comedy causes more fatigue than other genres," Ryu Seung Ryong confessed. "When I try to be funny and it doesn't satisfy me, it feels like I'm being slapped in the face. I always get stressed."

According to him, he wants to stop doing the comedy genre for a moment in order not to overwhelm the viewers.

"I want to do comedy when it's time to do it again," the actor shared his plans for his career. "Until then, I will play serious roles without laughter."
