Ahn Jae Hong Shares Affection For 'Chicken Nugget'
On March 22, Ahn Jae Hong talked about his new Netflix series "Chicken Nugget" in a brief interview.
The show, which was based on the webtoon of the same name, follows a man who desperately finds out how to turn a chicken nugget back into its human form.
In the series, Ahn Jae Hong transformed into a clumsy company intern who has a huge crush on his boss' daughter who suddenly becomes a chicken nugget.
The Netflix show marks the actor's second acting project this 2024, following his raunchy drama "LTNS" with Esom. Because of this, he worked hard to reinvent his image in the work.
According to Ahn Jae Hong, it's his first time making a lot of effort into perfecting a role due to its unique charisma despite its subtle tones. He even sang and danced in the work.
He revealed that he attended popular choreographer Aiki's dance classes, and also received tips on how to naturally move and flow without looking awkward.
The actor also received singing lessons for the work wherein he sang an OST for the very first time. He said, "I listen to the OST called "Chicken Nugget Rhapsody" a lot. I think it's charming."

Ahn Jae Hong Reveals Secret About Role's Costume
Following the success of "Chicken Nugget," Ahn Jae Hong let fans in on a secret regarding his brand new acting role.
Ahn Jae Hong revealed that his character, Go Baek Jung, wore a belly fat costume throughout the filming to synchronize perfectly with the character in the webtoon.
"Since my character only wears one piece of clothing, the size is absolutely unnoticeable," Ahn Jae Hong shared. "However, after the exercise sequences in episode 1, I wore a small-sized vest."
If Ahn Jae Hong didn't reveal the trick to his costume design, no one would ever know he was wearing such clothing. He added, "Jung Ho Yeon was even surprised when I took off my belly fat costume."
In the show, Jung Ho Yeon played Ahn Jae Hong's ex-girlfriend Hong Cha who was obsessed with his "fat" appearance and cute belly fat.
On the other hand, it's not only Ahn Jae Hong who had to wear a costume during filming. In a previous interview, Kim Yoo Jung shared that she had to wear a chicken nugget costume.
Undoubtedly, "Chicken Nugget" is an eccentric yet exhilarating work that has a lot to offer. Within days of its premiere, the work already took the No. 1 spot in the most streamed works.
It even bested "Queen of Tears" and "Exhuma," two of the most successful works in the first half of 2024. Make sure to watch "Chicken Nugget" now on Netflix.
