Born in 1986, Woo Jin Yong is a well-known CrossFit and snowboard athlete who specializes in snowboard cross racing.
Before his professional career in sports, he studied at Chung-Ang University in South Korea.
This was also where he earned a degree in physical education and worked as a PE teacher.
In addition to this, Woo Jin Yong extends his passion for sports by trying out snowboarding while studying in Canada.
With his skill, endurance, and strength, he fell in love with the sport and continued as a national snowboarding athlete. Woo Jin Yong is also the coach of South Korea's snowboarding team.
How Much Did Woo Jin Yong Win at 'Physical: 100' Season 1?
Along with 99 other hopefuls, Woo Jin Yong became one of the official participants of "Physical: 100" Season 1.
With a balanced mixture of significant traits, he managed to survive and win four quests, making him the first "Physical: 100" Season 1 winner, taking home 300 million KRW or around 230,000 USD worth of prize money.
To recall, after winning the intense death match, Woo Jin Yong joined MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon's team with Shin Bo Mi Rae, Dustin Nippert, and Kim Min Cheol.
For the ship moving challenge, Woo Jin Young showed off his unique strength and stamina with his original team members and Jo Jin Hyeong's team with Jung Hae Min, Park Jin Yong, Cho Jung Myung, and Kim Da Young.
For Game 4's Tail of Ouroboros challenge, he won against Cha Hyun Seung, Cho Jung Myung, and Jung Han Saem.

Based on his posts, he has kept in touch with fellow Season 1 participants, which include team leader Choo Sung Hoon, Shin Bo Mi Rae, and Jo Jin Hyeong.
In an interview, Woo Jin Yong mentioned visiting Hong Kong to celebrate the anniversary of local gym GO24, which was recognized by fans.
When asked what he thinks about being recognized by the public, he said he had no problems with it.
"When I don't do my hair this particular way, people don't recognize me at all. That's why I make sure to do my hair every time I go out."
As for his plans for the future, he wants South Korea to compete in snowboard cross at the 2026 Milan Olympics.
