Han So Hee & Ryu Jun Yeol's Drama 'Delusion' Halts Production

In a report, Showbox, the co-production company behind "Delusion," told SPOTV News that they might have big chances given the situation of the lead stars.

Due to this, the company decided to halt the discussion regarding the upcoming production.

"It is true that casting discussions were held with the two actors and the 'Delusion' side, but as it was not a confirmed matter, we decided to stop related discussions in the future."

As for the possible stars joining "Delusion," a representative of Showbox said that they "are still discussing the casting."

On March 6, news outlets cited that Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee were selected to headline the webtoon adaptation "Delusion," helmed by "Emergency Declaration" director Han Jae Rim, who has been preparing for the project since 2021.

The upcoming K-drama is set during the 1935 Gyeongseong and the 1800s in Shanghai, where it depicts the mystery behind the portrait of a woman named Song Jeon Hwa and her connection to the artist named Yun Iho.

However, the duo got caught up in a messy dating rumor that also involved Ryu Jun Yeol's ex-girlfriend, Hyeri.

Following the statements of both parties and the confirmation of their romance, Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol's agencies announced their breakup.

Han So Hee & Ryu Jun Yeol's Split

On March 30, fifteen days after the dating rumors erupted, Edaily confirmed that Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol called it quits.

"It is true that Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee broke up," said the actor's label, C-JeS Studio, while Han So Hee's agency, 9ATO Entertainment, said that "the two both found their roles as actors to be more important" and "promised to no longer emotionally exhaust with their personal lives."

The agency also acknowledged that the actress' "method of communication was incorrect" after letting her "personal emotions" get in the way.

Nevertheless, despite the breakup and halted project, Han So Hee will have her K-drama comeback through the action-fantasy series "Dotgabi," directed by Oh Jin Suk of "QueenMaker."

This will be her next project after "Gyeongseong Creature" Part 2 with Park Seo Joon.

As for Ryu Jun Yeol, he is also set to return to the small screen. Based on the webtoon of the same name, "The 8 Show" stars Ryu Jun Yeol as Jin Soo, one of the eight participants in the high-stakes game.

Joining him are Chun Woo Hee, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, Lee Yeol Eum, Lee Joo Young, and more.
