Park Sung Hoon dishes on his upcoming projects, including the highly anticipated sequel, "Squid Game" season 2.

The 39-year-old actor has found his new breakthrough after joining the cast of "The Glory."

Since then, Park Sung Hoon has appeared in various K-dramas, including his latest series, "Queen of Tears."

During his appearance on the YouTube channel of Netflix Korea, the actor talks about the remarkable stories in his previous K-dramas and gives a sneak peek at his new projects.

Park Sung Hoon on Playing Villain Roles

In a report, he was asked by hosts Calm Down Man (Lee Mal Nyeon) and Lee Chang Ho about his villain characters. Park Sung Hoon revealed his way of internalizing the antagonist role is through anger.

He believes that everyone has it, and for him to perfectly portray the character, he "intensifies" the feeling of anger inside him.

"When I play a villain, I pour out my emotions, and that gives me vicarious satisfaction."

However, he confessed that unlike his characters, the actor "doesn't even cuss much" but could still feel the pain whenever he looked back at his roles.

In the hit K-drama "The Glory," he played one of the villains who made Moon Dong Eun's (Song Hye Kyo) life hellish as he took on the character of Jeon Jae Joon.

Speaking of Jeon Jae Joon, Park Sung Hoon recalled a funny experience with his "The Glory" character.

When he was filming "Queen of Tears," a man referred to him as Park Jae Joon, mixing his real name and his K-drama character.

"After that, the staff of 'Queen of Tears' also just say, 'Jae-joon, please go one step to your left' when my character's name is actually Eun-sung," he said, and joked that he has lost his real name.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that he has been called by his "The Glory" character.

"When the cast for 'Squid Game Season 2' was revealed, only four people appeared in the video. Kang Ha Neul, Im Siwan, Yang Dong Geun, and Jeon Jae Joon. That's how people sorted it out."

After the revenge drama, Park Sung Hoon headlined the rom-com "Not Others" with Jeon Hye Jin, Choi Soo Young, and Ahn Jae Wook.

In 2024, he played one of the supporting actors in the thriller mystery "The Bequeathed" and joined Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won in "Queen of Tears."

As for his upcoming K-drama, Park Sung Joon will be joining the star-studded cast of "Squid Game" season 2.

Did Park Sung Hoon Accidentally Reveal 'Squid Game "Season 2 Spoilers? Here's What Happened

As the interview continues, Park Sung Hoon revealed that the upcoming K-drama "Squid Game" is his 50th work.

The actor also expressed his gratitude and felt "very thankful" to be part of the most anticipated show of 2024.

As the host, Calm Down Man, tried to ask questions regarding the soon-to-be released sequel, Park Sung Hoon tried to evade answering the question, especially when he was asked about the red-haired Seong Gi Hoon, played by Lee Jung Jae, and if they would be wearing the iconic training suits on season 2.

"It's Season 2." Calm Down Man made everyone laugh as he expressed his resentment. "He certainly appears. Season 1 ended with him in his red hair," he replied, adding that he doesn't have much to say because they are currently filming the series.

Interestingly, the actor surprised everyone when he accidentally revealed a spoiler.

"Anyway, even among the cast, if there's someone who dies early..." he said, to which Lee Chang Ho quickly replied, "What? Dies? "

But instead of explaining his spur-of-the moment statement, the actor changed the topic, causing laughter.
