Hyeri Raises Concerns For Real Estate Speculations
On April 8, concerns about Hyeri's real estate ventures made rounds around various online communities.
According to the reports, the idol-actress purchased a 245.3 m2 building with land in Gangnam, Seoul at an estimated price of 4.3 billion KRW (approx. 3.1 million USD) in 2020.
With newly built floors, the property is now priced to be more than 7.5 billion KRW (approx. 5.5 million USD), earning Hyeri a substantial profit of around 3 billion KRW (approx 2.2 million USD).
However, the reports stated that the actress transferred the ownership by creating a collateral trust bond with Hana Asset Trust, suggesting that it didn't have any real estate mortgage.
The news sparked discussions in various online communities, targeting Hyeri's decisions to evade mortgage and acquisition taxes. However, it was later revealed that it was a choice to increase loan limits and reduce additional costs.
Thanks to the clarification, speculations that could lead to further confusion have been stopped right away from distorting the reality, and further creating a bigger controversy.
In addition, many media outlets lauded Hyeri as a real estate entrepreneur as her multiple ventures, apart from her acting career, continue to soar to success.
