Ju Ji Hoon talked about his career and plans, including his thoughts about marriage.
During the "Kingdom" star's appearance on Shin Dong Yup's YouTube channel "Stingy Brother Shin Dong Yup," he dished on his honest thoughts about getting married and having a family.
Why is Ju Ji Hoon 'Not Ready' for Marriage?
As obtained by a news outlet, when the host asked Ju Ji Hoon if he ever talked about marriage and starting a family with his friends, the actor mentioned that it is indeed a "general hot topic in society these days."
While some celebrities his age are settling down or starting a family, the top star confessed that he is "worried" about marriage.
However, the reason he put this aside is because of his career.
Emphasizing that he prioritizes work over starting a family, Ju Ji Hoon said that he thinks that his busy schedule is not suitable for that kind of commitment.
"I'm really busy working. I don't think I spend less than 3 to 4 months in Seoul a year. I usually go to the countryside or overseas to film, but I work hard because I enjoy the work."
In addition to this, he also asked himself if he'd be a "good partner" or a "good father" in the future.
"I have a lot of worries like this. I don't think I have the courage."
Ju Ji Hoon also mentioned the "process of dating and breaking up," which has changed as he gets older.
According to him, he saw himself getting married and having a family when he was young, but as he got older, questions like ''Can I be a good person to my partner?" and "Is there one?" came into his mind.
"Now I don't think it's each other's problem. I don't think I'm ready."
With years in the industry, Ju Ji Hoon has been embroiled in various dating rumors.
In 2015, he and Brown Eyed Girls' Ga In confirmed their relationship, but announced their split after 3 years of dating. The first worked together in her music video titled "Fxxk U" in 2014, delighting fans with their steamy scenes.
Other than Ga In, Ju Ji Hoon was also linked to his co-stars, including "Princess Hours" star Yoon Eun Hye, and Shin Min Ah who he first met in the 2009 movie "The Naked Kitchen."
