Han So Hee's agency spoke out regarding the controversy involving her educational background.

Han So Hee's Agency Clarifies Actress' Educational Background

Lately, the "My Name" star has been facing issues regarding her health, personal relationships, and even her academic history.

With all these Han So Hee's agency, 9ato Entertainment, released a brief statement denying the recent allegation against the actress.

In a report, the talent label said that the claims mentioned by the "Nevertheless" star were true.

"All the remarks that Han So Hee made about being accepted into a university in France are true; however, it's difficult to disclose specific details due to it being a private matter."

The news came after Han So Hee appeared on PD Na Young Suk's YouTube channel, along with "Gyeongseong Creature" co-star Park Seo Joon to promote the series. There, the actress discussed in the interview how she entered the industry.

Before her debut, she revealed that she had plans to study abroad, particularly at an art school in France. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to push through because of financial issues.

"I got into a school in France. But I had to have 60 million KRW (44,645 USD) in my bank account to get a visa. But I didn't have 60 million KRW at the time."

This became the reason she started modeling for print ads and TV. She also revealed that she "considered working three jobs to earn 60 million won ($43,590)" to support her studies.

Unfortunately, eagle-eyed netizens noticed the inconsistencies in her statement, especially the process and fees for getting into a French school.

Others raised the fact the fact that before admission, the student is required to submit a DELF, or French language proficiency test and certificate.

Han So Hee Responds to Issue Concerning Her Education

Following the mixed reactions from the public, Han So Hee responded to negative remarks against her statement.

A follower posted a screenshot of the actress' reply on her post, addressing the issue.

According to the actress, she dreamed of studying at Central, Saint Martins, and Parsons but she let this go because of the fees that would cost millions per year.

Instead, the actress opted for Beaux-Arts.

"As I wasn't attending a domestic university, I couldn't take out a student loan. I was significantly short on funds for housing and living expenses."

However, suspicions remain, as the South Korean star fails to clarify the authenticity of her claims.
