Interestingly, drama officials have selected the female lead, whom they think is best paired with the top star.

Will Jo Bo Ah Become the Next Leading Lady of Kim Soo Hyun?

In an exclusive report cited by EDaily, Jo Bo Ah has confirmed her appearance in the upcoming K-drama "Knock Off."

From the creators of "Song of the Bandits," writer Han Jung Hoon and director Park Hyun Suk, the duo will be reunited to deliver a black comedy K-drama set during the turbulent era in South Korea, where the IMF crisis is at its peak.

It focuses on the activities involving the "counterfeit market" led by Kim Soo Hyun's character.

As for Jo Bo Ah, she is set to portray Kim Soo Hyun's first love, who works as an employee at the Department of Customs.

With the actress' performance in her previous dramas, she is expected to deliver another remarkable performance as Kim Soo Hyun's love interest.

Other than the duo, veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung, who is best known for his role in "Itaewon Class," is also selected to join the series and is positively reviewing the offer.

This marks his reunited project with writer Han Jung Hoon and director Park Hyun Suk, after appearing in "Song of the Bandits."

Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun has recently garnered a lot of attention after returning to the small screen with the hit K-drama "Queen of Tears."

Fans are expecting another back-to-back hit project starring the male top star.

As for the release of "Knock Off," officials are currently in talks about whether the drama will be released through streaming platforms.

Jo Bo Ah Joins the Star-Studded Cast of 'Hong Rang'
