Jang Ki Yong Reunites With Hyeri

On May 17, Jang Ki Yong appeared as Hyeri's celebrity guest in her YouTube variety-talk show 'Hyells Club." It was also their long-awaited reunion following the conclusion of their romance-fantasy series "My Roommate Is a Gumiho."

Both of their fans were delighted to see them again in one show.

During their conversation, Hyeri opened up about their chemistry in the 2021 drama "My Roommate Is a Gumiho," specifically noting its popularity in Japan.

The actress said, "We are considered to be in the top tier in the drama couple shoots. Even if other people haven't watched the series, they've already seen the photos."

Jang Ki Yong responded, "We (really) did hit the top."

The "Moonshine" actress then confessed that during their magazine pictorial, she was really nervous as she didn't have much experience with photoshoots, particularly in couple pictorials.

She also thanked and praised the heartthrob for guiding her throughout the shoot.

"I was kind of nervous and out of sorts, but you seemed really comfortable. It was your moment to shine as a model and actor. I followed your lead, and the results were great."

Jang Ki Yong recalled:

"I've mentioned this before, but as soon as I saw your solo shots, I thought, 'This is going to turn out great.' Your hair and makeup were pretty. I could see Shin Woo Yeo and Dam (their drama characters) together. You did well."

He added that their faces were in great condition during the day of their shoots, which helped them produce such great pictures.

Hyeri agreed to what the actor confessed and replied, "We shot it during our break after the series concluded. Our look from four years ago was captured perfectly."

Jang Ki Yong then replied, "We had great chemistry."

He added that the actress suggested just having fun while shooting. and that's exactly what they did, and the pictures turned out beautifully.

Meanwhile, Jang Ki Yong is currently trending with his comeback drama "The Atypical Family" alongside Chun Woo Hee. It was his first small screen project after he was discharged from the military.

Hyeri, on the other hand, is also booked with new works both in dramas and movies. Recently, she concluded filming the movie "Tropical Night." She is expected to shoot another film "Victory" sometime this year.
