Apple TV teased viewers with a sneak peek of the much-awaited "Pachinko" Season 2.
For its first teaser, the streaming platform surprised fans with the return of Ko Han Su, played by Lee Min Ho. It also showcased an update regarding the upcoming release of the novel-based drama.
As seen in the video, Apple TV featured Lee Min Ho's character dancing to a groovy song inside an arcade game, known as Pachinko.
In the clip, he is wearing a black suit paired with white sneakers.
Netizens couldn't help but gush over the top star's unexpected dancing skills. Others even dubbed him the new "Dancing King" for showing off his nice moonwalk groove.
In addition to the head-turning teaser, Apple TV mentioned that the announcement of "Pachinko" Season 2 premiere date will be on May 31, 2024.
On the other hand, the sequel will showcase the story of younger Baek Mozasu, played by Park So Hee, and older Noah.
Moreover, the backdrop is predicted to highlight the catastrophic events of World War II, as mentioned by show-runner and series creator Soo Hugh in Deadline.
To recall, the first season focused on the life of Sunja, played by Kim Min Ha, and award-winning veteran star Youn Yuh Jung, as she moved from Korea to Japan.
As for "Pachinko" Season 2, viewers will get to see dramatic stories and "history-packed" sequels. Soo Hugh also teased fans by hinting at what to expect in the upcoming season.
According to the showrunner, Season 2 will feature a "little bit of a time jump" and will highlight the second generation of the family.
The story will revolve around young Mozasu and his older brother Noah.
In addition to this, lead star Kim Min Ha said that the sequel will be all "about the story of Sunja, continued from Season 1... even heavier, but still, there's joy."
Meanwhile, Jin Ha, who played the role of Baek Solomon, will experience conflict, which will bring him character growth.
"I think we are seeing him question his preconceived notions of what success looked like when we met him at the beginning of the season, and I'm rooting for him to find a healthier and less toxic idea of success."
Based on the famous novel of the same name written by Min Jin Lee, "Pachinko" Season 2 cast includes Lee Min Ho, Oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung, Kim Min Ha, and more, under the direction of Justin Chon of the highly-acclaimed films "Gook" and "Ms. Purple."
