Lee Yi Kyung revealed how Choi Daniel saved his life when he was struggling.

Despite being born into a wealthy family, the "Marry My Husband" star experienced living on his own during his early years in the industry.

Lee Yi Kyung made a surprise appearance at Choi Daniel's first-ever fan meet, where he revealed a touching story about his celebrity friend.

While on stage, Choi Daniel mentioned Lee Yi Kyung's name and told the audience that he was unsure whether "he could come or not."

Interestingly, the "Welcome to Waikiki" star surprised everyone and said, "Since you called me, I should come."

As obtained by Ten Asia, the actor joined Choi Daniel, creating remarkable memories along with his fans. To spice things up, Lee Yi Kyung revealed a never before heard story about their friendship.

According to the "Secret Royal Inspector" star, he considers Choi Daniel as "one of the most important people" in his life.

Lee Yi Kyung then shared a heartwarming story when he was just an unknown actor at the time.

"There were times when I lived in a car because I didn't have a house. He said the house he used to live in was still empty, so he gave it to me. He even paid the monthly rent in cash, but I couldn't accept it."

According to Lee Yi Kyung, the actor's older brother was living in the upper house at the time and would even pay for his utility bills and other maintenance.

Choi Daniel and Lee Yi Kyung first worked together in the hit K-drama "School 2013," along with Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin, Jang Nara, and more.

At the time, Lee Yi Kyung was a budding actor, making this youth-oriented K-drama his second small screen appearance.

Meanwhile, following the huge craze of "Marry My Husband," where Lee Yi Kyung appeared as a villain, he is set to return for another webtoon-based K-drama.

After surprising viewers with his versatility as an actor, Lee Yi Kyung will once again showcase his charisma in comedy as he headlines the upcoming rom-com "It's You, Out of the Blue."

Penned by "Two Cops" screenwriter Byun Sang Soon, he will be working alongside CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa, Hong Seung Hee of "Move to Heaven," as well as Han Chae Ah, who appeared in "The Bridal Mask," and "True Beauty" actress Park Yoo Na.
