THIS ‘Hierarchy’ Actor Outshines Lead Stars for Being the Instant Fan-Favorite: 'He is the Plot'

Lee Won Jung stole the hearts of viewers after starring in the newest Netflix K-drama, "Hierarchy."

Along with fellow rising stars Lee Chae Min, Roh Jeong Eui, and Kim Jae Won, the 22-year-old actor sparked a huge frenzy on social media as fans gushed over his untenable charm.

A teen-mystery crime series, "Hierarchy" depicts the story of an ordinary student named Kang Ha (Lee Chae Min), who enters Korea's most prestigious school, Jooshin High School, in hopes of uncovering the mystery behind his brother's death.

Here, he sees how the school is divided according to class. Scholarship students like him are being looked down on by the elites, which includes the group of Kim Ri An (Kim Jae Won).

On his journey, he unexpectedly meets one of the popular female students, Jung Jae Yi (Roh Jeong Eui), the heiress of the Jaeyool Group.

Lee Won Jung Sparks Frenzy After Starring in 'Hierarchy'

Amid the slew of head-turning cast, viewers are immediately drawn to Lee Won Jung.

Taking on the role of Lee Woo Jin, the son of a politician, Lee Won Jung immediately became a fan-favorite because of his character's dynamics and his overall performance.

In "Hierarchy," his character had a secret affair with an older woman, who is also a teacher at their school. Because of his status and the school's policy, they kept their relationship a secret.

However, Lee Woo Jin also harbors feelings towards his close friend Yoon He Ra (Ji Hye Won).

Although Lee Woo Jin played as the supporting character, he instantly became the fan-favorite, with netizens mentioning him on social media.

Over TikTok, various fan accounts made videos of him, highlighting his scenes in "Hierarchy" and noting that he is the "hottest guy on the K-drama."

Others are even looking forward to more screen time between Lee Woo Jin and Yoon He Ra in Season 2.

Will There Be 'Hierarchy' Season 2?

The speculation regarding Season 2 rose when the last episode of "Hierarchy" teased viewers with a possible continuation with Jung Jae I being reunited with her mom.

In addition to this, Jooshin High School also welcomed a new principal, played by Oh Na Ra.

As of this writing, Netflix and drama officials have yet to confirm the possible sequel, however, they will be looking into factors such as the public's response in Season 1.
