Seo Kang Joon's Big Roles Fail to Bring Him to the Spotlight
K-Netz is buzzing online as this actor's acting career became the center of their discussion.
Many know that the visuals are a deciding factor in the successful career of a K-Drama actor. However, that doesn't guarantee explosive success for every beautiful face.
In a recent viral post on June 12, a Korean netizen pointed out that there is one familiar drama actor whose career trajectory was as unfortunate as Byeon Woo Seok.
Byeon Woo Seok's fame exploded this 2024 thanks to his first lead drama role in "Lovely Runner." He has previously worked on various hit projects.
Unfortunately, his roles failed to bring him the spotlight for years before "Strong Girl Nam Soon" kicked off where he played the drama's antagonist, and through "Lovely Runner," his fame skyrocketed and is now creating a syndrome to fangirls.

As the discussion went on, netizens named Seo Kang Joon as the actor they thought had an even more unfortunate career than Byeon Woo Seok.
K-Netz Express Sentiments Over Seo Kang Joon's Unfortunate Career Path
Seo Kang Joon is widely loved for his captivating visuals. He debuted in 2013 and has delivered impressive performances in lead roles in dramas such as "When the Weather is Fine," "The Third Charm," and "Cheese in the Trap."
Despite working in the industry for almost a decade and being a star in his chosen field, netizens feel that Seo Kang Joon's potential is much bigger. Some pointed out that all the actor needs is the right project to land the popularity he deserves.
However, some said that Seo Kang Joon has already had his triumphant moments, and it would be a challenge for him to rise past them.
"Even though Seo Kang Joon has top-tier acting skills, he's often treated as if their only asset is his looks, and he ends up being cast in roles that are all about being a 'visual genius.' Since his acting skills are already solid, I hope he gets to do a lot of work in period dramas, noir films, or consistently appear in Netflix dramas."
"The reason why Seo Kang Joon can't rise to fame like Byeon Woo Seok is that, unlike Woo Seok, he's already had several moments of attention. Each time, he couldn't make a breakthrough. Kang Joon already did everything he could as a celebrity. Now, he either continues taking on projects occasionally or finds a good project that showcases his acting abilities. A lot of opportunities have passed for him to become a top star in Korea."
"Honestly, Seo Kang Joon should have gotten popular during "Cheese in the Trap." There are already too many actors today and if he slacks off even just a little, it will be hard for him to make it big in this competitive industry."
Meanwhile, following his military discharge, Seo Kang Joon is reportedly to have his small screen comeback. He will lead the forthcoming series "Undercover High School," which is speculated to premiere in 2025.
