Ok Taecyeon has announced his forthcoming Japanese film, where he transforms into a charismatic chef.

Ok Taecyeon To Make His Silver Screen Return

On June 18, 51K, Ok Taecyeon's agency delivered good news to the public, announcing:

"Actor Ok Taecyeon will appear in the Japanese film 'Le Grand Maison Paris.' We ask for your interest and support."

"Le Grand Maison Paris," also known as "Grand Maison Paris," is a film adapted from the famous 2019 Japanese drama "Le Grand Maison Tokyo."

It has been said that the film brings back the main cast, namely Takuya Kimura, Kyoka Suzuki, Mitsuhiro Oikawa, and Ikki Sawamura, who reunite to add a special touch to the work.

This movie will feature the journey of genius chef Natsuki Obana (Takuya Kimura) and Rinko Hayami (Kyoka Suzuki) as they aim to become the first Asians to achieve a Michelin three-star rating for their restaurant in Paris.

2PM Taecyeon Turns Into A Passionate & Charismatic Chef Rick Yuan

Adding to the star-studded cast is Ok Taecyeon, who is expected to take the role of Rick Yuan, a charismatic Korean-Canadian pâtissier who constantly clashes with Natsuki.

Rick Yuan is a professional pâtissier with his own shop and a unique passion for making desserts.

The "Vincenzo" actor will exhibit his acting prowess by delivering his lines in three languages, such as Korean, Japanese, and French, adding interest and depth to his upcoming performance.

As he dives into another challenging work, Ok Taecyeon is more excited about his forthcoming collaboration with top Japanese actors.

In a short statement, he expressed his excitement for the film.

"I was thrilled to work with top-notch actor Takuya Kimura, whom I have long admired. It was an honor to be part of such a great project."

Ok Taecyeon's new movie "Le Grande Maison Paris" is scheduled to premiere in Japan this winter after post-production is completed.

This marks Taecyeon's silver screen comeback after two years following "Hansan: Rising Dragon."
