'Revolver' Update: Ji Chang Wook Excites Many With His Complex Yet Thrilling Role

After revealing Jeon Do Yeon's bold and never-before-seen transformation for the movie, the production introduced Ji Chang Wook next.

A global star renowned for his performances in "The Worst of Evil," "Welcome to Samdalri," and "Lovestruck in the City," Ji Chang Wook is set to grace the summer box office with his new role in "Revolver."

The movie revolves around the story of Soo Young (Jeon Do Yeon), a former police officer who takes the fall for numerous crimes and upon her release from jail, sets out with a singular mission.

Ji Chang Wook takes the role of Andy. He is described as a "cologne-wearing mad dog" who lives his life recklessly, making promises and breaking them without hesitation.

When Soo Young confronts him about a promise made years ago, his dismissive attitude pushes her to take action.

As a glimpse of his shocking transformation, the production released character stills featuring Andy's cool and lavish exterior.

Wearing expensive attire and designer glasses, he also hints at the hysterical complexity of his true persona.

According to the source, this role marks a fresh, captivating departure for the K-drama actor.

Jeon Do Yeon, Director Oh Seung Wook Praise Ji Chang Wook

Ji Chang Wook shared his honest thoughts about his new movie character.

"Andy intrigued me, and I felt I could bring something unique to the role. I was also excited to collaborate with Oh Seung Wook PD'nim, who I know would add another layer to the character."

The celebrity also humbly shared about how he meticulously crafted the character by experimenting with various costumes to bring Andy to life. He said he focused on understanding Andy's past and present.

"Revolver" director Oh Seung Wook, on the other hand, praised Ji Chang Wook's acting.

"He portrayed the complex character of Andy like a sick emperor."

Apart from him, the actor's co-star Jeon Do Yeon lauded him for his exceptional performance.

"He helped me perform more boldly."

"Revolver" is scheduled to hit cinemas this August 7.
