Kim Soo Hyun Hints at New K-drama After ‘Queen of Tears’: 'I Will Do My Best For Great Work’

As Kim Soo Hyun's fan meet kicks off, fans have been waiting to see the "Queen of Tears" star meet his Asian supporters.

After starting his Asian tour at Thunder Dome Stadium in Bangkok, the South Korean heartthrob continues to mesmerize fans with his swoon-worthy charm through his meet and greet, dubbed "2024 Kim Soo-hyun Asia Tour: Eyes on You."

Interestingly, one of the recent cities he visited was Manila, Philippines, where he was greeted by Filipino fans with a warm welcome and hospitality.

Gracing his first fan meet after 10 years, the actor was overwhelmed with the presence and love from his Filipino fans.

Kim Soo Hyun never fails to entertain the crowd with his effortless charm by serenading the audience with a song from his hit series "My Love from the Star."

In addition to this, the K-drama heartthrob sang the OST from "Queen of Tears."

Kim Soo Hyun definitely made the crowd go crazy as he sang "Love You With All My Heart" along with a live band.

He also greeted the audience with Tagalog words and even surprised everyone with Filipino songs, showcasing his effort to connect with his audience.

"I am so happy to come back after 10 years [for my own fan meeting]. Despite the fact that 10 years have passed, I still felt nervous when I came to the stage. In 2022, 2023, and 2024, I was here in the Philippines. I am so happy to see you all again," he said, as mentioned by an outlet.

With the deafening crowd, I can't help but get emotional, seeing everyone supporting and cheering him.

"Because you are all smiling. It's like the first time looking at the smiles, and then I'm crying right now. I became very emotional. Thank you. Salamat po," he added.

Kim Soo Hyun Hints at His New K-Drama

As Kim Soo Hyun bid farewell to his fans, the actor teased them with an update regarding his new K-drama.

Returning to the small screen after "Queen of Tears," the top mentioned that he is starting to film his new drama next month, referring to the upcoming Disney+ series "Knock Off."

"I will do my best for great work and put in a lot of effort for great work," he said, adding that he will come back to the Philippines to meet his fans once again.

As for Kim Soo Hyun's new drama, he will be starring in a comedy series and will be teaming up with Jo Bo Ah.

Helmed by "Uncontrollably Fond" and "Stranger" season 2 director Park Hyun Suk and penned by "My Fellow Citizens" screenwriter Han Jung Hoon, "Knock Off" is set in 1997, when South Korea was experiencing a foreign exchange crisis or the IMF crisis. The drama centers around stories relating to the trade of fake luxury goods.
