"Doona" showcased a remarkable story as Netflix introduced the romance drama in 2023.
Headlined by Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong, viewers were totally drawn to the duo's undeniable chemistry.
On top of this, Suzy left an exceptional mark as she played the titular role.
Based on the popular webtoon "The Girl Downstairs," "Doona" is directed by Lee Jeong Hyo, who is the genius behind the smash hit K-drama "Life on Mars," "Romance Is a Bonus Book," and "Crash Landing on You."
Suzy transformed into a retired K-pop star, Lee Doo Na, who chose to live an ordinary life in a communal living house along with two college students.
However, university student Lee Won Joon, played by Yang Se Jong, who also lives in the apartment, was drawn to the mystery surrounding Doona.
At first, he was clueless about who Doona was, but as he gets to know her and spends more time with her, he falls in love with her true personality.
Almost a year since the series aired, let's get to see the current and upcoming projects of "Doona" cast starring Suzy and Yang Se Jong.
Suzy
After "Doona," Suzy is slated to return to the small screen with the interesting series "All the Love You Wish For."
Besides the upcoming K-drama being a rom-com, this will be a reunion project with Kim Woo Bin, whom she worked with in the 2016 series "Uncontrollably Fond."

As of this writing, drama officials have yet to announce the target release date, but "All the Love You Wish For" will air on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Suzy also made her big screen comeback through the star-studded movie "Wonderland," where Park Bo Gum played her on-screen boyfriend.
Due to their chemistry, fans speculate that they are dating in real life, but it seems like they are just comfortable working as a couple on screen.
Yang Se Jong
Yang Se Jong sparked the public's curiosity after playing the character of Lee Won Joon in "Doona."
He once mentioned in an interview with Elle Korea that he had "complicated feelings" working alongside Suzy in the Netflix series.
"With all the actors I've ever worked with, I would almost always get these hard-to-explain complicated feelings while acting my part with them. But I would usually just ignore those feelings, because I feel like I would go too far off from the script if I expressed them."
As for the upcoming K-drama, he is selected to play one of the lead stars in the webtoon-based K-drama "Low Life."
Yang Se Jong will be teaming up with veteran actors Ryu Seung Ryong and Lim Soo Jung as he takes on a challenging role.
