Acting married can be good practice for getting married. Playing a married couple onscreen was such a positive experience for Choi Won Young and Shim Yi Young that they grew genuinely fond of each other. After playing rivals who become husband and wife in the MBC weekend drama "One Hundred Year's Inheritance" the couple decided to date and recently announced their plans to marry.

Although Choi Won Young played Yoon Jae Ho, the Jeguk Company secretary and Yoon Chan Young's father, in the popular drama "The Heirs," his proposal was not a glamorous one. His agency, Fantagio, told Star News that Choi Won Young proposed to Shim Yi Young with a ring and a handwritten letter.

"He told us it was a very simple event," said the Fantagio representative.

The couple only recently announced that they had been dating for six months. But their families have already met and the actors plan to tie the knot next year.

"The exact wedding day has not been decided, but both think it is better to do it sooner rather than later," said the Fantagio representative.

They will let friends and family know the exact date once they decide on it.

Being actors they have to fit their wedding plans into filming schedules.

Choi Won Young wanted to marry before he began filming his new drama "Three Days" starring Park Yoochun. The drama starts with an incident in which three shots are fired and the president mysteriously disappears. Park Yoochun plays the bodyguard who must find the president. Choi Won Young plays Kim Do Jin, the leader of the influential Jaesin Group. "Three Days" will follow "You Who Came From The Stars."

Besides appearing in "The Heirs" and playing Kim Chul Gyu in "One Hundred Year's Inheritance," Choi Won Young also had a cameo this year in the first episode of "Dating Agency: Cyrano."

Shim Yi Young also had a busy year with multiple acting roles. She played Woo Na Young, the clumsy interfering sister-in-law in "The Suspicious Housekeeper" but also played Nam Mi Ra in "Goddess of Marriage." She had a role in the film "Rockin' on Heaven's Door." Before that she appeared in "My Husband Got A Family" and "Precious Love."

She is known for being a very versatile actress.

As to the wedding photos, they already posed in their wedding clothes for a scene in "One Hundred Year's Inheritance." If they wanted to, they could always recycle those photos.
