Seol In Ah Reveals Secret Health Struggles for 5 Years: 'It's Ironic Because I Never Felt Truly Healthy'

Popular K-drama actress Seol In Ah revealed during her appearance on tvN's fitness program, Iron Girls, that she had been struggling with different effects of sleeping pills for five years. .

Despite how healthy the actress would often appear on social platforms and her reality show, I Live Alone, she was heavily dependent on sleeping pills.

Seol admits, "I was upset that I was being 'put' to sleep by these pills".

She adds that she would force herself to get busy so that people would see her as an active and busy person.

However, this behavior was merely a facade, as it was all in an effort to combat insomnia.

The 25-year-old actress continues that

"It's ironic because I never felt truly healthy".

Her battle with insomnia had gotten to some dangerous level, where she could go three to four days without getting any sleep without the pills. 

This period exposed her immune system, and she would experience the side effects and end up going to the hospital. Seol adds that she had sought help from her regular dermatologist and had been on pills to help with the immunity issues.

The hospital, however, gave her 24 pills daily to help with the skin-related problems. The popular actress had decided to join Iron Girls to help improve her health.

Seol had also been planning to attend a triathlon and has received massive support from friends and fans, including her co-star on Business Proposal, Kim Se Jeong, and rockstar Yoon Do Hyun.
Kim Se Jeong said, "You're so incredible. I'm proud of you".
