Jang Shin Young is set to make her first public appearance after her husband, Kang Kyung Joon was caught with another woman.
According to a report by SBS's My Little Old Boy, Jang will record an episode for the show on 2nd October, with the broadcast set to air mid-October.
The last time Jang was on air was on the KBS's The Return of Superman a year ago, creating high anticipation from the fans. Meanwhile, the lawsuit filed regarding the scandal's damages was completed in July.
Despite everything, Kang Kyung Joon's agency told Newsen that the couple is still legally married, and there are no plans for divorce.
Since both parties confirmed their status in August through an Instagram post, they are committed to staying together despite the cheating scandal that tarnished both of their images.
The actress has expressed a desire to maintain her family unit, stating, "I still want to live as a family again for the sake of my children."
At the same time, the events generated a fair degree of ambiguity and made fans and the general public doubt the propriety of Jang's comeback to filming.
While some people claim that they are fine with actors continuing their jobs and that Jang should be able to present her side of the story onscreen, others feel that such occurrences tend to lessen the seriousness of adultery.
A user from theqoo said, "I wish they wouldn't talk about hermy husband on TV anymore." Another remarked,"It's not like they're having different dreams... Jang Shin-young didn't do anything wrong."
Some fans think that she has the right to earn money while continuing her career: "Jang Shin-young is not at fault, she should be able to work and earn money.
However, another part of the audience is concerned about her appearances on air: "Forgiveness is your choice. But don't come out on TV and wash your husband's clothes."
