Actor Kim Ji Soo is drawing attention for addressing his past controversies in an unusual manner through social media.
After getting in hot water back in South Korea for many years amid serious allegations, including claims of school bullying and sexual harassment, Kim made a new life in his adopted homeland of the Philippines but was still not shy to reflect on the past.
In 2021, Kim Ji Soo faced several allegations of misbehavior, which caused his agency to terminate their contract with him and the K-drama Where The River Moon Rises to remove him from the show.
After these events, he joined the army. In 2023, he issued a statement on the allegations and said the accuser had forgiven him.
Kim is also signed under a talent agency based in the Philippines, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, who announced they had signed her on August 28.
Internet users criticized the agency and Kim for appearing again in the country. Two years after the controversy, Kim Ji Soo returns to the entertainment industry.

He was featured in Black Rider, which started airing on July 3 and also acted in Mujigae, released on October 9.
His last project, Abot-Kamay na Pangarap (Dream Within Reach) ended on October 19).
As reported by Koreaboo, Kim has apparently not deleted or hidden his past social media posts, unlike how celebrities often act post-controversy.
Rather, he has compiled a collection on Instagram under the highlight "New," where he posts screenshots responding to his accusations and setting the record straight.
The earliest screenshot is over 52 weeks old and contains statements that the allegations against him are not true.
Elsewhere, his "New" slash marks feature clips and images from his recent acting gigs alongside snippets of his off-screen life, pointing to a double-accessed idea of new, both as in fresh content and a reboot for the entertainer.
Although such netizens criticized Kim for returning to acting, there is a faction of fans that have supported his recent projects.
