Xiyeon, from the girl group PRISTIN, is receiving flack for her role in the interactive short-form drama Sharehouse.
The series launched last week on the platform, StoryReels, with 47 main episodes and interactive elements in 15 segments that allow viewers to steer certain parts of the story.
The row started after a scene from the drama appeared online, particularly an "interview" in which Xiyeon speaks about favorite sex positions.
Cast members then discuss personal preferences that pull criticism from viewers during the segment.

The content on the show left users reeling and disgusted over online community forum Instiz.
Some comments expressed disbelief in Xiyeon joining the drama, while others expressed what they believed to be the inappropriate themes of the drama.
"And her face, what the fuck looks different too? That's not the point," one wrote.
Another commented, "This is not about the content. I was just shocked because this doesn't sound like Xiyeon to me."
While a portion of fans were still in the creative direction with the drama, plenty let their voices be heard otherwise.
One commenter wrote, "The fact that such a drama even exists is so unbelievable... sickening."
At age 24 now, Xiyeon has moved on from her idol days and into acting. Despite a few viewers enjoying the innovative storytelling, many are nevertheless quite concerned about its precedent for dramas meant for younger viewers.
