Journalists on tvN's Free Doctor revealed their findings on a deep dive investigation of actor Jung Woo Sung's latest controversy, where he was alleged to have cheated on his long-time partner.

Model Moon Ga Bi came forth with their child, born out of wedlock, leading to accusations of an extramarital affair.

Reporters indulged their findings, which suggest that Jung was caught off-guard by the news of the child.

"The situation suggests that there was no prior agreement between the two," said reporter Ahn Jin Yong.

Yong explained that the veteran actor would have understood the consequence of the news, considering his 30-year career.

"However, Moon Ga Bi's announcement of her childbirth came as a surprise, with reports emerging only two days later. It's widely believed that Moon Ga Bi disclosed the news without consulting Jung Woo Sung."

Yong added that rather than a personal statement, Jung chose to communicate via his agency in an attempt to define his relationship with Moon.

The reporter suggested that Jung would not have wanted to go public with the news but Moon proceeded to take matters into her own hands.

"They didn't date or love each other, which explains Jung Woo Sung's stance against marriage," she said.

"The disagreement appears to have stemmed from differing views on making their relationship public."

Journalist Kim Ji Hyun chimed in, adding that she believes Jung's responsibilities lie within parenting, not marriage to Moon out of obligation. The reporter also shared that their investigation revealed that Jung was not in a relationship at the time of meeting Moon.

"There's been a flood of misinformation. For instance, claims that a woman seen in a sticker photo was born in 1998 are incorrect," said reporter Choi Jung Ah. "Some are criticizing Jung Woo Sung for allegedly being in a relationship while seeing Moon Ga Bi, leading to her pregnancy."

The reporters explained that Jung Woo Sung had met Moon Ga Bi during a brief separation from his long-term girlfriend, who was made aware of Moon and the baby.

"From an outsider's perspective, it may seem like Jung Woo Sung was involved with two women at the same time," said Choi.

The journalist added that the controversy has not impacted Jung's longstanding relationship.

"My findings suggest he is still with his long-term partner, who is not an accountant as some rumors suggested," said Choi. "Reports that she was deeply shocked by the revelation are inaccurate, as she has known about the situation for some time. Rather than feeling betrayed, she is more concerned about their relationship moving forward."
